We are currently seeking an Event Manager for an upcoming showcase in Paramus, NJ to start ASAP through the end of October. This person will be the main point of reference for all visitors and will be responsible for ensuring visitors with an exceptional and memorable experience.
Maintains a leadership presence throughout the exhibition area ensuring all operational aspects are running smoothly
Assist in training of the event team
Define, communicate, and maintain high standards of the exhibit for visitors at all times
Taking & selling tickets to the event as well as handing out/returning audio guides
Provide information and resources to direct visitors by proactively identifying and attending to their needs and/or questions.
Engage a positive interaction with visitors
Attend to other administrative duties as assigned
Prior leadership experience at a Manager or Assistant Manager level
Available to work full time at 32 hours max
Comfortable working with guests and large groups
Strong organizational skills
Previous event experience is required
Prior experience guest services is required
Comprehensive knowledge or interest in art/art history
Multi-lingual is preferred
Comfortable standing on your feet throughout duration of the shift
